Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) established in December 1999, it is under the Ministry of Works and Transport with a responsibility of developing, operating, managing and maintaining the 58 Government owned airports in Tanzania mainland. The TAA’s managed Airports falls on class A, B and C where; Julius Nyerere International airport is the biggest and the main entry exit point of the country handling passengers traffic of about 2.5 million per annum during. The Airport is served by more than 15 international Airlines includes Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch, Kenya Airways, Airlink, Air Zimbabwe, Rwandair, EWA, Malawinan Air, Uganda Air, Fly Dubai, Egypt Air, Oman Air, Air Mozambique, and domestic Airlines to mention few are Air Tanzania, Precision Air, Coastal Travel, Auric Air and As salaam Air. All Airports under TAA are strategic located within the country’s economic areas to serve mining, Agriculture, Tourism and other economic activities within the country.
